24-Jul-2024 – An opportunity will either be revived or newly created

“As it is written, ‘I have made thee a father of many nations,’ before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, ‘So shall thy seed be.'” – Romans 4:17-18
This portion in Romans 4 talks about Abraham’s faith in God. It is very encouraging for believers in hopeless situations. God told Abraham He had made him a father of many nations, but at that time, Abraham had no children and lacked the physical capacity to have them.
Abraham recognized his physical limitations and understood that it seemed impossible. However, he did not deny God’s words. When Abraham looked at himself, he found all opposing physical factors. But when he looked at God, he found two main characteristics:
First, God is capable of quickening the dead. That means there was hope previously when physical fitness was still present. Now, it’s dead, and in the natural realm, it cannot be revived. But God is supernatural, and He can revive anything.
Second, God is capable of calling into existence things that do not exist. If we remember Genesis, creation happened in this way. He called everything into existence. Even the promise given to Abraham was calling him a father of many nations before that truth existed.
These two qualities of God lead us to conclude that if God says something, it will happen. If God gives you a promise, it will be fulfilled – not because we are good and capable, but because our God calls ability into existence in us. He can revive closed opportunities or open new ones. He can do anything. But we need to do one thing: believe Him.
You might be in a difficult situation in your workplace, business, family, health, or finances. Whatever your seemingly hopeless situation, and even if all ways seem closed, remember and believe God’s promise.
“And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” – John 6:40
If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you will have everlasting life. This means death will not overcome you. This is not just a final destination but a pattern for your life. Death represents closed opportunities, closed doors, and no more chances. Life represents continuation, progress, and breakthrough. Claim it in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Prayer
Dear loving heavenly Father, thank you for your love and grace. Thank you for reminding us today about the importance of remembering Your promises and Your character. Not because of our ability but Your grace and Your ability to revive the dead and create new things, my life is progressing supernaturally. Help us to claim this in our daily situations and experience victory. I pray in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen!
