12-May-2024 – Only His people enters the kingdom of Heaven
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. -Matthew 7:21
If you consider two kingdoms at war, there will be a strategy of the wicked kingdom to send his people in disguise and mix with the opposite kingdom and help to find the weak points, plan the attacks and share the sensitive information etc.
If you consider this strategy, you cannot even know that they are not actually your people but enemy’s people. They will do good things, support to any extent, make sure you believe them. They even become employees sometimes loyal employees in various administration areas. But once the appointed time comes, they will show their true colors. Once the true colors are visible, they will be punished or thrown out of the kingdom.
In case of the heavenly kingdom also, because of the sin committed by Adam and Eve, the next generate came with an intrinsic vulnerability to sin and to be manipulated to commit sin. The earth now contains both who operate according to the directions of God and devil.
To enable only the legitimate people of God to enter His kingdom, God sent His only begotten Son, executed the great and wonderful work of salvation, and laid the way for His people to understand his will and set their lives and paths aligned to Him.
During this process, the devil also mixes his people in the church and slowly penetrate among the believers. The only way to differentiate between them and the children of God is – whoever does the will of the heavenly Father, they belong to heaven and rest of the people will not be let in.
But how do we know? if someone is doing according to the will of God? If you truly believe in the name of Jesus Christ, and received Him as your personal saviour, then you became a child of God and you were given Holy Spirit to be with you and in you. The Holy Spirit will guide you and lead you according to the will of God.
You can also be in the church but not accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal saviour. You can be in a responsible position in the church but you many not believe the word of God in it’s entirety. You can even be a preacher, evangelist or even a prophet but far from God’s will.
That’s why God clearly said this – “Those who call me Lord, Lord, will not enter, but those who call and does according to my word will enter”.
So our association with a great speaker, our association with a very big church or our association with a very well reknowned congregation will not take us to heaven. But our association with the Father of heaven through His Son Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit only will take us to heaven.
Prayer
Dear loving heavenly Father, thank you for your love and grace. Thank you for teaching today about the importance of checking whether I am really following you or not. Am I just following Christ for the things on this earth, fame, and money? Or Am I following Christ, because I received the truth and acknowledged and accepted Jesus as my personal saviour and ready to follow according to His commands. Help me Lord not to deceive my self. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
