05-May-2024 – Your king is mighty and you are a heavenly citizen
And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. -Revelation 4:2
When you remember a kingdom, there is a throne for the king. Throne is not just an elevated and decorated chair. Throne represents the authority and sovereignty. And this throne is only for the king of the kingdom. No one else could sit on that.
And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. -Revelation 4:5
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. -Revelation 5:6
From these two verses, we can understand that the Father is seated on the throne. Seven lamps of fire burning before the throne. And the between the throne and the elders, beasts and angels, there was a lamb that was slain and has 7 eyes which are again the seven Spirits of God.
From this verse we can understand that only the Lamb was having the Seven Spirits of God. This indicates clearly that Father and the Son are united in Spirit and that is how we got triune God manifestation which is beyond our comprehension.
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. -Revelation 4:11
In the heavenly kingdom there is a continuous praise and honour offered as a incense to the God. If we compare with an earthly king, when he is sitting in his courtroom, the people will be exalting him and praising him. When they will do that? When the king does good things for his kingdom for the welfare of his people, the people will praise with love and reverence.
If the king continuously does good things like protecting the kingdom, providing the good social structure to live their lives happily, good opportunities to education, health and career, the people will continuously praise him.
Now if we remember the continuous worship in the heaven, there must be some reason why they are worshipping God without ceasing. If you remember Psalms 23 or Psalms 91, we can clearly see what God is doing in the lives of His people. He is protecting, directing, navigating, covering and enabling continuously. There is another beautiful verse that summarizes this.
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, -Psalms 92:1-2
God’s loving kindness is provided in the morning and His faithfulness is provided “every” night. That means, whole day God was looking after his people. Not one or two but billions of His people. By witnessing the great and glorious deeds of God in the lives of His people, the heaven is praising Him continuously.
This is what the kingdom of God. You are one of the citizen of this heavenly kingdom. God being the king, he provided everything that is required for you to prosper as a heavenly citizen. Your king is Holy Holy Holy Lord God Almighty. You belong to His kingdom.
I cannot describe more accurately but if you believe Jesus Christ, you will receive the gift of Holy Spirit. If you already a believer, you have this gift in you. When you have fellowship with Him, He will teach you the perfect truth about the glory of God. Then you will also praise your king and you will be thankful for being a heavenly citizen.
Prayer
Dear loving heavenly Father , thank you for your love and grace. Thank you for reminding us about your glory and grandeur in the heaven. Thank you for reminding me about the continuous care that you are providing to me. You are great, merciful and compassionate King and because of that only, I am living my life happily with hope for tomorrow. I will sleep and wake up in life. Help me to be loyal to my king in every aspect of my life. I pray in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen!
