11-Mar-2024 – Your faith in Jesus can change your dead situation to life
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: -John 11:25
Jesus was telling to Martha, in this verse, that he is the resurrection and the life. Resurrection is, bringing something back to life, from a dead condition. Jesus says he is the resurrection. This indicates that, he can bring life out of dead condition. Because he himself is life.
Now if someone is believing in him, even though he is dead, he shall live. In that verse’s context, indeed Jesus brought Lazarus back to life after death. Now in our practical life in this modern times how can we understand this and apply this in our day to day life?
What is death? Death is a condition where is no growth at all. It a condition where the progress is deteriorating towards a complete loss. It is a condition where all the hopes are lost. It is a condition where there is a sudden and permanent break is something which was once positively moving.
When you understand the condition of being dead with something like above definition, we can find many scenarios in our day to day life, which can fall into the category of being dead. For example, some person has a job, and all of a sudden they lost it. then the life which was once smoothly going, will suddenly come to a dead situation. Cannot meet the monthly expenses. n this case, resurrection is getting another job or an opportunity to earn money.
If we consider another example which is very common in our life is our health. We will happily plan many things vacations, purchasing plans, assets gathering etc,. But all of a sudden we may come to know that we are now affected with a critical illness. Indeed this is the whole point why we buy a term insurance plan. In this case resurrection is not getting affected with this illness and living to the fullness of life that God has given.
Now what to believe? We need to believe that, God loves us very much. He sent Jesus Christ to deliver us from death to life. Yes it is true that this is a spiritual transformation. But Jesus is given power and authority over every name on this earth and heaven. Anything and everything under the heaven and in the heaven must obey his command.
When we believe that Jesus died for your sins and accept him as your saviour, then you will establish a relationship with him and God. This relationship enables to receive the good things from the heavenly Father, who could not stop himself sacrificing His only begotten Son, when we were destined to eternal death due to our sins.
He enabled Abraham and Sarah when they became old and dead to bring forth any children. He enabled Job to spring back from an utterly dead condition. He enabled Joseph whose life was almost gone to become next to king. He enabled Samson who was almost dead to become strong again towards the end of his life.
If you believe in his love, you will definitely receive the peace in your dead condition. Either he will change immediately your situations or will enable you to face the situation and stand strong. But surely you will not fail without accomplishing the will of God in your life.
Prayer
Dear loving heavenly Father, thank you for your love and grace. Thank you for reminding an important point during the right time. Around us in the world, the jobs are not guaranteed, the health is not guaranteed, our travels are not guaranteed and finally our life is not guaranteed. But Lord your love and grace they are guaranteed because you are the God who does not change. That’s why we are getting opportunity after opportunity. Help us to utilise them. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
