31-May-2024 – Your king has the best plan for your victory
“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” – Revelation 17:14
Today is the last day of our daily devotional series for this month, focused on the theme “The Kingdom of God.”
This verse vividly depicts the war initiated by the ten united kings and the beast against the Lord. Despite their opposition, the outcome of this war is already determined. It’s important and encouraging to remember the reasons behind this assured victory.
Our Lord is the Lord of lords and King of kings. All power, glory, and honor belong to Him alone. The Word of God teaches us that His name is exalted above all names, and every knee must bow before Him. As Colossians 1:16 states:
“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” – Colossians 1:16
Those who stand with the Lord in this war are chosen and faithful. This verse highlights the great privilege God has given to us, believers in Jesus Christ.
In our earthly lives, the devil is our ultimate enemy. He places stumbling blocks, sets traps, and attacks us to instill fear and defeat us. The Word reveals that the enemy initiates this war, but the victory is ours as declared in scripture.
To experience this victory, we must understand the secret: being chosen and faithful. Our responsibility is to be faithful; the rest is taken care of by God.
Imagine a war where the captain leads the army. The army must trust the captain’s plan and submit to his strategy. Similarly, our Captain, the Lord Jesus Christ, has a plan for our victory. We must be faithful in following His plan and strategy.
Today, may God help us submit to His plan for victory in our lives and experience the glorious triumph He has prepared for us.
Prayer
Dear loving Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love and grace. Thank You for reminding us today of the secret to a victorious life. The devil, as our adversary, always plots our destruction. But You, as our King of kings, have the best victorious plan. To experience this prepared victory, we need to be faithfully submissive. Help us to be faithful in every situation to experience the victory You have prepared for us. We pray in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen!
