29-Mar-2024 – Your faith opens the doors for the grace of God to operate in your life.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: -Romans 5:1.

In this verse we can understand the important role our “faith” plays in our life. Yesterday we learnt that our faith in Jesus, is the medium of receiving anything from God. Even in this verse, we are justified and now in peace with God because of our faith in Jesus Christ.

When we believe the gospel of our salvation which says that the Lord Jesus Christ, who was the only begotten son of God, came down to earth in flesh, lived a holy life and offered himself as the sin offering on the cross of calvary, and raised on the 3rd day victoriously, to enable everyone who believes in him, to be partakers in that victory, we are immediately justified as righteous.

We will be transformed into a peaceful relationship with God, in Jesus Christ. That means, God will not see you and me, but he will see Jesus Only. That’s why Paul could say, it is not me who is living but Christ in me!

For today’s devotional let us only focus on the aspect of Christ and apply in our life. Christ means victory over death. When you believe in Jesus, you are believing in the authority of the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus has authority over everything in the heaven and on the earth.

Now, in our daily lives, we will come across various situations. Some times we will see a sudden thing not working in the workplace. Sometimes we will experience a no reason clash in the family. Or suddenly our health condition will change worries us. All these things are the weapons and traps of the enemy to take control of your life.

But when you believe in the name of Jesus, that means you are believing in the authority of Jesus. Now, when you accept the authority of Jesus on your life, when enemy plans to destroy you, Jesus will guide you.

He could send the suitable help, or he could give you sudden wisdom to handle the things, or he could send someone to act for you, or sometimes it could be a supernatural intervention also. But definitely He will lead you as a good shepherd.

Jesus said, “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. -John 6:37”. You are chosen by God the Father and sent to Jesus. Jesus will never cast you out.

That’s why your faith opens the doors for the grace of God to operate in your life.

Prayer

Dear loving heavenly Father, thank you very much reminding me once more about the importance of our faith in Jesus, to let thy grace to operate in our lives. Help us to keep our faith strong even in troublesome, doubtful and confusing situations, so that we can experience the victory. I pray in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen!
