24-Feb-2024 – Do you have heart to stand on the assurance of God?

For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee – Acts 18:10
Paul went to Corinth from Athens. When Paul was in Athens he could see the city was full of idols and the people were interested in hearing something new without any goal. When Paul preached many people mocked him. But there some people who could believe the message of Paul.
Now when he reached Corinth, Paul could meet a Jewish family who believes Jesus is the Lord. Not only that their profession is also same like Paul. Paul now has an opportunity to go to Synagogue because Jews who were sent away from Rome gathered in Corinth.
When Paul was testifying that Jesus is the Christ, Jews opposed and Blasphemed. But God told Paul that, “I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee”.
When Paul heard this he stayed there for 6 months to preach about the Lord as the Holy Spirit guided him.
If we look at this situation, the people around him are not easy to handle. They are ready to even kill Paul because of the way of the Lord. This is a common scenario for most of the evangelists during those days. But God told him, “I am with thee”.
What does that mean? even though people raise against, I am with thee, finally nothing will happen to you. Even though they gather people, witnesses, accusations against you, because I am with you, nothing will make you to be perished. But those oppositions will definitely come against but they will not consume.
Now the question for us, “Do you have heart to stand on the assurance of God?”. The things may not be positive around you, but the assurance of God is there to protect you. Will you stand boldly for him in those rough situations?
