23-Jul-2024 – Remember your position in Christ

Published by Bro. Sunil Binkam on

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” – Romans 1:16

This verse highlights the confidence of a believer in the gospel of Christ. But what is the gospel of Christ? Literally, “gospel” means good news or good information. So, the Gospel of Christ is the good news or information about Jesus Christ.

“(God) hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” – Colossians 1:13

The Father has transformed our lives through Jesus Christ, delivering us from the power of darkness to the kingdom of His dear Son. Darkness represents fear, burdens, and negativity, but in Christ, we’re transformed and given a new association.

A kingdom provides:

  1. Citizenship: We’re associated with the kingdom and enjoy its provisions.
  2. Protection: The kingdom ensures our safety and well-being, fighting against enemies.
  3. Provision: We receive resources to satisfy our physical and spiritual needs.

In Christ, we have:

  • Association as children of God
  • Protection from the LORD
  • Provision to satisfy our needs

Remember, even in difficult situations, you are:

  • Associated with the heavenly Father
  • A citizen of Jesus’ kingdom
  • Protected and provided for

Believe in Jesus and your position in His kingdom. Stand strong and don’t be ashamed of the gospel.

Prayer

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your love and grace. Remind us of our association with you and our citizenship in Jesus’ kingdom. Help us exercise our rights and enjoy our provisions in Christ. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen!
