22-Feb-2024 – Do you have desire to become an Epistle of Jesus?

Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men – 2 Corinthians 3:2
An epistle is a letter that someone writes when they feel an important information is to be conveyed to someone. In the original Greek and Latin this word is used to convey a formal written communication or a message to be conveyed in a written form.
The apostle Paul wrote many epistles to believers in various places. All these letters are to convey the important aspects of our salvation through Jesus Christ, our life on this earth, what is good in the sight of God and what is not good etc.
In the context of this verse, the apostle was telling the Corinthian believers, that they are the epistles. That means, just like his written Epistles conveys the characteristics of God, our faithful walk with God, the power and authority we have in Jesus etc. These believers also conveys to the people around the characteristics of God.
If someone reads a letter, he may understand or not. But if they observe a believer’s life which is aligned with the word of God and how the principles of faith and holiness are working to bless both spiritual and physical life, they can clearly understand what God is all about.
There is a proverb in the world, a picture better than thousand words. In the same way, a God fearing, word practicing, Holy Spirit guided, holiness minded believer is better than a thousand words.
Now the question is, “Do you have the desire to be an Epistle of Jesus?”. If you have desire, it is Jesus who writes about him on you through Holy Spirit. You only need to submit in the leading of the Holy Spirit. Your life becomes a beautiful letter of God and can lead many people to God as well.

Dear loving heavenly Father, thank you for your love. Thank you for choosing us even though we are not worthy. You wanted us to reflect your nature through our life. You made us lights on this earth to shine your light for others. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. Help us to live like living Epistles to lead others into your kingdom.
