21-Jul-2024 – Walk in the path as led by God
Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God – Isaiah 66:9
In my personal experience, I have encountered many situations that testify to what God has conveyed through this verse. I was born into a Christian family. My parents are not overly spiritual, but every Sunday they attend church, and I used to go along with them.
Even though my mother taught us about prayer and reading the Bible at an early age, it was not compulsory. My father placed more importance on my academics, and I grew up with a sense of his authority. However, I remember my mother telling me, once I reached adolescence, about hearing the voice of God. She said, “I did not raise you with a compulsory spiritual life. But our God is a living God, and He will speak to you and make Himself known to you. Then, follow His words.”
After that, my life took many paths, and I started spending time with the LORD in prayer and meditation. Many years later, I began engaging in ministry at the church. Initially, I helped with grocery purchases and played the keyboard. Later, I moved to another church due to my job relocation. There, God opened doors for me in translation ministry, preaching, and youth ministry.
While I was serving the LORD in these capacities, God also connected me with my current pastor. He taught me about the work of the Holy Spirit, and from that point on, my preaching changed. I no longer prepared specific subjects as I wished but received God’s word and explanations through prayer and meditation on the portions He gave me.
God placed a burden on my heart to start an online ministry. I started a YouTube channel and a website, all based on the guidance I received in prayer, sometimes with fasting. This year, God opened the door for me to write theme-based monthly devotionals, and He helped me publish my first book of devotionals.
Although I am not yet in the place where the full-blown ministry intended by God has unfolded, I am certain it will happen. My God not only brings to the point of birth but ensures that it is brought forth. He will not shut the womb when He says He will bring forth.
Therefore, as I believe in God’s promise, I stand strong on His word regardless of my current situation. I hope my testimony encourages you to stand strong in our LORD.

Dear loving heavenly Father, thank you for your love and grace. Thank you for this opportunity to remember my calling and share my testimony with your beloved children. Bless this testimony, and as I stand on your promise, lead me and use me as you wish and according to your plans. I pray in the name of my LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!
