21-Jan-2024 – You need God to reap abundantly
He … multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits – 2 Corinthians 9:10
Sowing seeds is not enough to reap the fruit. It’s just the beginning. There will be lot many things to be taken care. The climate should also support for the growth of the seed. The birds and rats many other things work against your seeds to destroy them. If we carefully think deeper, then we can understand how much tender care is required from the time you sown the seed, to reap the fruit.
Similarly when we begin small, it’s just the beginning. We may witness many oppositions. We may have to go through discouraging situations. Our progress may not be promising. But there is one truth today that God wanted us to remember. “It is God who multiplies the seed sown”. If we carefully observe, sowing a seed and nurturing with water and fertilizers is a law that God established. In the same way, for our things in life God set spiritual principles. If we follow them, according to the principle, the growth will definitely be there.
Psalm 1 is a principle. When we take care of where we are walking, where we are standing and where we are sitting or settling, we need to take proper care. If we settle ourselves near to the abundant supply of word and revelations through Holy Spirit, whatever we do will be abundantly fruitful. Not in one season but in all the seasons. That means whether it is good season or bad season we will be fruitful for the glory of God.
Today God taught us that he is the one who makes the seed to develop, grow and become abundantly fruitful. Only thing we need to do is, being planted on the continuous supply of His water which is word and His Spirit.
Prayer
Dear loving heavenly Father thank you for teaching today about another important principle of being planted where the water supply is abundant. Help me to build my life with your word and the revelation from that word through Holy Spirit. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
