16-May-2024 – Your King is Alpha and Omega

Published by Sunil Binkam on

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” – Revelation 1:8

We often use this verse to praise and worship our God, typically understanding it in the context of the timeline of existence—that God was there before creation and will remain even after everything else passes away.

Today, let’s explore it from a kingdom perspective. As citizens of the kingdom of God, our King’s characteristic is being “Alpha and Omega.” He is the beginning and the end.

Consider our earthly lives and various needs. For example, think of a believer whose child is preparing for an entrance examination. As a parent, the first job is to find the right institute for the child, secure the money to pay the fees, and provide the necessary books and facilities. These steps mark the start of the preparation.

As the exam approaches, the child must focus, maintain good health, and practice diligently. Finally, the child must take the exam confidently and accurately.

In this scenario, God, being Alpha, provides the father with resources to find the right institute and pay the fees. He guides the child with a right mind and supportive environment to grasp the lessons.

Being Omega, He ensures that the child practices enough and blesses the child with good health and memory during the exam.

Likewise, in any situation, God initiates and enables us to accomplish everything in our life. All glory to His name forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer:

Dear loving heavenly Father, thank you for your love and today’s teaching about your guidance in beginning and accomplishing tasks. Help me to follow your guidance and experience your glory. I pray in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
