16-Jan-2024 – Good seeds comes from good fruit, sow wisely

Published by Sunil Binkam on

For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit – Luke 6:43,44

Whether a tree is good or not is known by its fruit. That means until a tree bears fruit, we cannot decide whether that is a good tree or bad tree. To be more specific, unless someone experienced those fruits, we can’t decide, whether a tree is good or not.

When multiple people experience the fruit of the tree, then a stronger conclusion is made and declared that the tree is not good. Based on this experience no one will gather the seeds of this kind of trees. If anyone sees someone is planting these seeds, immediately they will warn him about its fruit.

This is an important spiritual lesson. Our parents, well wishers, spiritual forerunners, tells us by their experience not to involve in somethings. Then it is better not to get involved with those things. But it’s we involve in those very things and expect a good result is impossible.

For example, parents and well wishers suggests the young people not to get involved with friends who drinks, teases people and involves in gambling etc. They will say, if you involve with them, your line also will be spoiled. But if any young man without heeding to the advice, if gets involved, then he cannot expect a great life.

With this prior experience, we can know even in the seed stage whether this would yield good fruit or bad fruit. So based on the word of God, through his servants and various channels, whatever God told us not good.

Let us refrain from indulging in them. We cannot expect good fruit if we willingly make a obviously wrong choice according to word.

Prayer

Dear Loving heavenly Father, thank you for teaching me today about the good and bad trees being identified by their fruit. Help me to refrain from involving in any bad things. Help me to root out already planted ones. I pray in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen!
