11-May-2024 – Your heavenly king does not leave for your fate
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. -Romans 5:10-11
You might have heard about ransomware. Ransomware is a type of malicious software designed to block access to a computer system or data until a sum of money is paid. It encrypts the files on a victim’s computer or network, making them inaccessible, and then demands a ransom.
Here in this kind of attack the computer and the data belongs to the owner of the computer but now captured by attackers. How does this attacker gained access? The attacker tried various techniques to lure the user to either click or execute some link or program through which the attacker gains full control.
In the same way, the devil lured Adam and Eve in the beginning. Today also, his technique is same. He will send us the baits and once we catch hold of it, rest of our life is in his control.
If you consider the scenario of the computer, if the user thinks that the data in the computer is valuable, then he will be ready to pay the ransom. But if the data is useless, he will not respond and let the data be deleted. If he pays the ransom, is he not proclaiming that the data is his only and he loves his data?
Now, in our case, we belong to God because we are created by Him. But the devil allured us with many baits as our flesh is very weak and has lots of vulnerabilities to manipulate. Now if God let it go, our lives will be ending up in the hell fire for eternity.
But our God who is our king did not let it go. He paid the ransom which is the ultimate ransom that is more than sufficient for all the human beings together including the future generations. Why God paid the ransom? Because he considered us precious and valuable.
Consider another example, if you are in a foreign land, and got into some dispute, your country’s embassy will work it’s level best to support you, it will not leave you. In the same way, as you belong to the kingdom of heaven, your heavenly embassy did not leave you in the dispute with the devil. Paid the price and relieved you from the bondage.
Now, when you know the value of this loving act of your king, you will be rejoiced and shout Hallelujah to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Remember your heavenly king does not leave you on this earth!
Prayer
Dear loving heavenly Father, thank you very much for your love and grace. Thank you for teaching me today about the heavenly commitment. Thank you for establishing the help required for me to deal the day to day things on this earth. I thank you for all the heavenly resources and guidance you provided for me. Help me to utilize them and be thankful to you. I pray in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen!
