11-Feb-2024 – Do you have boldness to show God’s character in your life?

And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep – Acts 7:60
Today’s word is about a very difficult topic of divine forgiveness. Forgiveness is the conscious willingness to release the feelings of resentment and vengeance towards people that harmed them.
Here in this portion Stephen displayed the ultimate forgiveness that is impossible to display without a divine transformation. This kind of forgiveness at the edge of death was only displayed by Jesus Christ himself.
Actually Stephen shared his testimony of the knowledge of God and how Jesus Christ is the long awaited Messiah of Jews. He stood for that truth and sacrificed his life. To be a witness for what God is, he has to display the very character of God which actually opened the door of salvation to the whole world.
It is very easy for all of us to preach about God and the things of God. But to display the character of God in very odd situations is the real testimony that pleases God and wins souls for God.
Now the question for today is, “do you have boldness to show God’s character in your life?”. This is a very difficult question to answer. Because it is not just words but life is required to answer this. The very desire of God itself is to transform us into that perfect image of Jesus Christ to display the qualities of God through our living.
Prayer
Dear Loving heavenly Father, thank you for your love and grace. Today’s word is very profound and deeper. Lord being in the ministry it was very easy for me to teach and preach the word. But Lord I confess that I am stumbling upon living like a testimony ik every scenario. But Lord thank you for undertaking the task of transforming me into the perfect image of your Son Jesus Christ. Help me to submit into thy hands and show forth your nature in everything and everywhere. I pray in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen!
