08-Apr-2024 – Fear not! He will give you a mouth and wisdom

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived – Luke 21:8
When we are supposed to publish the works of God, sometimes it could be of the past; so that the listeners can remember them and be strengthened. Sometimes, it could be about the future works of God, so that when people go through their time in this world, can remember the things and be strong in their faithful walk.
In this verse, Jesus publishes about something that is going to happen in future. He starts with, “take heed and be not deceived”. That means, be careful what you are grasping from the things you are hearing, seeing. They may deceive you. How? either by making you to think like the end is now, or the end is not yet there. Both are dangerous in their own way.
The reason for Jesus highlighting this is not to scare his disciples nor us. But he wanted us to learn what should be our attitude.
But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. -Luke 21:12-19
In your life time, you may be during the end times or you may leave this world before the end times. But one thing is sure. Being a believer, we will be vulnerable to be attacked both in physical and spiritual realms. But our only protection is “depending on our Lord”.
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist – Luke 21:15.
Jesus said, he gives us mouth that means what to speak and wisdom that means how to handle things. That’s why our attitude and focus is, “Oh Lord, now I am hearing few scary things, I am witnessing some scary things or I am going through difficult situations. I know you are with me now. What should I understand and how should I respond?”.
When we have this heart, our loving and living God could either answer us through the word we meditate, or the word we are taught in our church, or he will send a prophet and tell you or even a vision. But God will let you know.
Today God the work of God we publish is – “Fear not! He will give you a mouth and wisdom”.
