07-Apr-2024 – It is the wonderful work of God not leaving you in your low estate
Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts: -Haggai 2:4
This month our focus as per the will of God is, “publish the works of God”. In the above verse, God sends a word to Zerubbabel, Joshua and the people of God through the prophet Haggai. God said, “be strong.. for I am with you”. Haggai published these words to them.
And God continues to remind them in 5th verse, “my spirit remaineth among you, fear not”. These words are sent at the time of distress, confusion. The temple of God and the city of God were destroyed. There is desire to rebuild them, but no support, no strength but enemy is mocking and laying stumbling blocks to prevent revival.
This is exactly similar in our lives also. We are the temple of God and our life is the city of God. He dwells in us and dwells among us. He wanted to manifest his glory in our life and through our life. But the temple of God in our life is destroyed.
This means, the daily fellowship with God and his word is not there. There is no prayer life. There is no worship in our life. There is no waiting in the presence of God to receive His word. The temple represents the spiritual life. It is destroyed for many reasons. Few of the reasons could be we are trapped in the worldly desires and we lost the first love or many other things.
Our life also will go through these situations of being lost in many areas. Finances becomes worse. Opportunities lost. Family relationships are not peaceful. Health is not good. The joy turned murmurings and weeping with the burden in the heart.
In this condition, God sends a word today to all of us – “Be strong, I am with you! Fear not, my spirit remains with you”. Even in our lowest condition in our life which is the result of our own negligence, recklessness and disobedience, our God did not leave us nor forsake us.
This is the work of God that is being published today! Your Lord loves you and he will build you! Even your life is nothing but a pile of ruins, he will build you and renew you. He also tells you that, your later glory which is your oneness with your Lord, will be greater than previous experiences.
If you hear today the voice of God in your situations, remember – “Fear not and Be Strong; for your God is with you and His spirit is with you”. It is the wonderful work of God not leaving you in your low estate!
Prayer
Dear loving heavenly Father, thank you for your love and grace. Today you encouraged me and revived my heart with your truth. Yes Lord, you are with me even in my low estate. You did not leave me nor forsake me, but waiting for my ear to turn towards your gentle call. You did not let me perish but always ready to gather me again to take me forward! I love you Lord! Help me to stand strong with no fear in my situations. I pray in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen!
