02-Mar-2024 – Your faith is powerful

And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. -Mark 6:5

Jesus is the Son of God who came to this earth in flesh. He was walking in the fullness of the Spirit of God. He knows the minds of people and he had power over the nature and he lived in that authority while he was here.

But there was something that could hinder the power of Jesus. For that matter, that was the same thing which hindered the Israelites to enter the promised land without a need for forty years of wilderness experience. That something is nothing but faith. Faith that God is able to do and willing to do something good in our life.

In Jesus’s scenario in Mark 6, there were evidences around regarding the supernatural power that Jesus carried with him. Many people were healed, delivered and could receive the gift of God. But still many people could not believe it.

We also can remember how Jesus asked many people before he healed them, whether they believe that he can deliver them or not. So, God gives importance to our faith.

But faith without substantial works is equal to no faith. So God wanted our faith to manifest his supernatural power in our life. Our pastor multiple times defines “supernatural” as, the things that we cannot do with the resources, capability that we naturally posses.

The means of supernatural manifestation is up to God’s will. But having faith in God because he loved us, gave his only begotten Son for us, is in our hands.

Today you might be stuck in your work, or blocked by the inability of overcoming some hard pressing thing, or the people whom you are dealing are more stronger or the situations are more worse. But the love of God towards you is far greater.

Our God respects your will. Having faith in him is telling him that you are willing to allow him to operate in your life. He is ever ready for that call. God gave his only begotten Son for you and me, then why he will not give you freedom and victory in your situation?

Have faith in God. Your faith is powerful.

Prayer

Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy. Thank you for loving me with an everlasting love. Thank you for reminding my about my faith in you in any and every situation of my life. Lord teach me to trust you completely. In my work, ministry, family life and finances and everywhere, help me to trust your love. I pray in the name of my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, Amen!
